According to French publication, Footendfirect, the former Barcelona and Chelsea striker is worth a whopping $202m.

Manchester City and Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure is second on the list with a net worth of $170m while his compatriot, Didier Drogba is third with $155m.

Despite retiring in 2008, former Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha is number four on the Africa’s richest list.

The former Nigeria international who is now the Chairman of the Delta State Football Association is worth $150m.

Another former Nigeria international Kanu Nwankwo round the top five with a networth of $100m.

Ghana international midfielder, Michael Essien is sixth on the list with $70m while Togolese striker Emmanuel Adebayor is seventh with a networth of $57m.

In eights position is Chelsea and Nigerian midfielder John Obi Mikel with a networth of $50m while Ivory Coast veteran defender Kolo Toure is next with $43m.

In 10th position is Ghana international midfielder Sulley Muntari who is worth $40m.
