Cow crushes 2 elderly people out of nowhere — no one knows why

A cow attacked two pilgrims heading to Santiago de Compostela, reports Salamanca Al Dia.

The injured were transported to a hospital in Salamanca, western Spain. They covered one of the most popular European pilgrimage routes, which also runs through Poland.

Two people, aged 64 and 69, were trampled by a cow. The incident took place on Saturday morning around 9, near the town of Navarredonda de Salvatierra, in the province of Salamanca in western Spain.

The injured are pilgrims who were walking the Camino de Santiago (Way of St. James). It leads to the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

The pilgrims were transported to the hospital in Salamanca. One of the people was taken by helicopter, the other was placed in an ambulance.

The Camino de Santiago is one of the most popular pilgrimage routes in Europe. It leads to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, located in Galicia, northwestern Spain.
