  • A viral tweet claims that Chick-fil-A will offer a 4 for $4 deal if it gets 500,000 retweets.
  • Chick-fil-A told Business Insider that the tweet, which features fake screenshots of DMs with the brand and has been retweeted more than 320,000 times, is not legitimate.
  • While 4 for $4 offers and other bundled deals have been popular in the fast-food industry recently, Chick-fil-A seems unlikely to jump on the bandwagon.

Chick-fil-A has debunked a viral tweet claiming that the chain is considering a new deal.

"WE NEED THIS RETWEET," reads a tweet from @primekfc. The tweet has a screenshot of an apparent DM exchange with Chick-fil-A, which reads:

@primekfc: How many retweets for y'all to start doing a 4 for 4 deal?

Chick-fil-A: Sorry, but we are currently not offering that.

@primekfc: Please!!! Everyone has been asking for this for a while...

Chick-fil-A: 500k retweets. No less, no negotiations. Good luck.

As of Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET, the tweet had been retweeted more than 320,800 times and liked more than 68,000 times.

When Business Insider reached out to Chick-fil-A on Friday, the chain said that the direct messages were not legitimate. Twitter user @primekfc did not respond to Business Insider's request for comment.

While 4 for $4 offers and other bundled deals have been popular in the fast-food industry recently, Chick-fil-A seems unlikely to jump on the bandwagon. The chain's menu tends to be slightly more expensive than most fast-food chains. For example, a chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A in New York City costs $4.99. A McChicken at McDonald's a few blocks away costs $2.99.

We reached out to Chick-fil-A to see if the enormous response to the tweet would cause the chain to adopt the new deal and will update the post if we hear back. But, at this point, a 4 for $4 Chick-fil-A deal is looking unlikely.
