Fire destroys Dome Market; about 30 shops affected

Parts of the market which had been partially closed to brisk business collapsed and were completely burned.

About 30 shops have been affected massively.

It still remains unclear what caused the fire which comes hours after 10 luxury vehicles were badly damaged by fire in Kumasi, Ghana’s second-largest city.

Fire tenders were being deployed to the market as there are fears many properties and lives may be in jeopardy.
