Gregory Afoko, brother to the NPP national chairman Paul Afoko has been charged with murder. He has been accused of pouring acid on the NPP Upper East regional, Adam Mahama causing his death.
According to the prosecution, the report presented to the police by the Ghana Standard Authority showed the burns found on the base of the trousers worn by Mr. Afoko on the day of the attack of Adams Mahama was caused by acid.
In their submission to the court prosecution led by Mathew Amponsah said the Police during their investigation seized the clothing believed to have been worn by Gregory Afoko on the night of the attack, after it saw some burns on them.
Adam Mahama was killed in May. The police have arrested two people, but one more suspect is at large.
