My players abandoned my tactics - Coach Nurudeen Ali Ibrahim

The coach of Aduana Stars attributes his side's loss to players refusal to play according to his instructions

The game was barren until Lord Offosuhene sumptuous cross found the forehead of the waiting Ropapa Mensah to nod in the opener, before a masterclass one-two between Isaac Twum and Ropapa Mensah and latter back heeled the ball onto the path of the former to beat the helpless Joseph Addo.

And Nurudeen Ali Ibrahim, who led the team to the G-6 tournament final in Sekondi reckon his tactics were abandoned for individual interest.

"We were tactically discipline in the first 20 minutes and after that they abandoned the tactics and played their own individual play and it didn't work for us. Team work brings results and we didn't do that," the former Wa All Stars coach told the media after the game.

Aduana Stars are touted the best team in the top flight competition and expectations are high to win to the league. Nurudeen Ali Ibrahim accepts the responsibility and is adamant the loss has an effect on the title race.

"The game is just the beginning. We've just started the league and we haven't gone anywhere. We only have to go back and work hard to bring the team to winning ways." He said.
