Coach Drissa Malo Traore has thrown shade at the technical team of the Black Stars
Burkina Faso managed to stun Black Stars B 1-2 in the 2nd leg of the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier in Kumasi.
The defeat saw Maxwell Konadu’s side kicked out 3-4 on aggregate, after they had drawn 2-2 in Ouagadougu a week ago.
Several Ghanaians have blamed the team’s exit on tactical bankruptcy and Drissa Malo Traore has added to the growing list of Konadu’s critics.
“Ghana is a very big football nation and to beat them at their home is a very good achievement and a morale booster for my players as we prepare for the competition next year,” Traore said in a post match interview.
“We watched them in the first leg and saw how they played, and we mapped out a strategy to stop them and hit them on the counter attack and it worked.”
"By the time they got wind of what we had planned, we were two goals up, hence our inability to score more, especially in the second half. Ghana gave us a very good and tough game in both legs and I was to congratulate my boys for a job well done.”
