Hearts of Oak continued their inconsistent run of results this season in the Ghana Premier League as Elmina Sharks managed to earn a point in their 1-1 draw on Sunday.

Hearts of Oak, after beating Bechem United at home and AshGold in an away fixture returned home and failed to maintain their winning run and even had to come from a goal down to draw level.

Joseph Mensah put the visitors in the driving seat in the second half, but Hearts of Oak restored parity some few minutes later with the equaliser from a direct freekick

The Phobians after the equaliser pushed more men upfront in search for the match needed win, but Elmina Sharks deployed a defensive strategy and decided to catch the hosts on counter breaks.

And in one of such moves Elmina Sharks almost went up again, but they were denied a goal
