Statistics after match day 24

Asante Kotoko were the only team that won an away game, as they earned their first away win since match day 12. The Porcupine Warriors reduced Liberty Professionals into an ordinary side at Dansoman and handed them a 0-2 defeat.

Kotoko, as a result, have earned back to back wins for the very first time in the second round to close in on league leaders Wa All Stars.

The defeat was Liberty Professionals 4th of the season at home.

Hearts of Oak continued their winless streak as they drew 1-1 against poor away performers Techiman City. It has taken then Phobians to 4 straight matches with a win, having won 1 and drawn 3.

Dwarfs maintained their fabulous 2nd half display when they defeated league leaders Wa All Stars to take them to 5 consecutive matches without a defeat and also send them to 6 straight league wins

AshGold drew 1-1 against Dreams to take them to 15 league draws, which is the highest thus far.

The troubles of New Edubiase United continued over the weekend as the bottom club could only manage a draws against West African Football Academy (WAFA), despite relocating from Obuasi to their favourite grounds New Edubiase.

Dauda Mohammed scored the fastest goal of the first half of the season. It came under one (1) minute against Dreams FC at Dawu on match day 8

Charles Boateng was the first player to score a goal this season, when his opener aided WAFA to edge Kotoko 2-0, with Samuel Tetteh scoring the other on the opening day of the Ghana Premier League

The first hat-trick of the season was registered by Samuel Tetteh on match day 3 when WAFA thrashed Hasaacas 5-0. Yahaya Mohammed registered the second hat-trick of the season, after hitting 3 past Hasaacas on match day 8. Emmanuel Hayford and Lord Ofushene of Dreams FC and Inter Allies respectively were the first two persons to see a direct red card, following a scuffle between them in their sides 2-2 draw.
