Jordan Ayew starts for Aston Villa against Chelsea

Chelsea head in to today's game off the back of a 3-1 defeat to Southampton, and manager Jose Mourinho needs a big improvement for this afternoon's vital clash against Aston Villa.

Here is how Chelsea and Aston Villa will line up for this afternoon's game...

Mourinho's side have won just twice in the Premier League this season, and he has made a number of changes to his side this afternoon.

Eden Hazard, Nemanja Matic and Oscar have all been left on the bench, with the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ramires and Baba Rahman brought in to the starting line-up.

Their opponents Villa are also struggling this season, with Tim Sherwood notching just one victory in the league this season.

The pressure is mounting on Sherwood, and whilst few expect Villa to get a positive result this afternoon, fans are desperate to end a worrying run of form.

Sherwood has named an attacking line-up today, with Jack Grealish, Carles Gil, Rudy Gestede and Jordan Ayew all starting the match.

Jordan Amavi is on the bench with Kieran Richardson in at left back, whilst summer signing Adama Traore has a place on the bench too.
