Kevin-Prince Boatenh has disclosed he was reached the point of throwing in the towel regarding his football career due to the trauma of being suspended indefinitely by Schalke O4
The 30-year-old was suspended indefinitely alongside Sidney Sam - leading to his unceremonious exit from the club.
And when asked about whether he considered retirement at the time, he said "said to myself: Why not?"
He added: "I've earned a lot of money, seen everything and have a wonderful family. What else can I do? But that was only for two days."
Kevin-Prince Boateng returned to AC Milan for a short while before he signed a one-year deal with Las Palmas.
He revived his career at the Canaries, emerging as the top scorer of the club with ten goals in the La Liga.
Boateng is currently with Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga.
