Aduana Stars beat WAFA to the 2016-17 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title with a game to spare to add one major trophy to the one they won on their debut topflight league appearance.
The playing body and the technical team of the Dormaa based side have been honoured by the bankroller of the club for emerging champions of the just ended GPL

The owner and bankroller of Aduana Stars who is enthused with the performance of the team has rewarded them after they defeated Berekum Chelsea last week in a ceremony to crown them champions
“Nana gave the playing body and the technical team Samsung LED TV 32’, GH¢100,000 cash prize to be shared among the playing body and a plot of land to each player” Nathaniel Asamoah told Onua FM.
The former Asante Kotoko player added that their target is to play in the Caf Champions League and make an impact “Africa is the target now and reaching the group stage of the competition is paramount”.
