Harrison Afful is eligible to play in Columbus Crew's next game after his red card was rescinded.
The fullback was shown a straight red card in the clash for a tackle which replays showed to be a harsh decision by the match day referee.
Afful who challenged for the ball with Marcelo Sarvas showed his studs initially but did not go through as finally got the ball without catching the legs of the player.
Sarvas however stepped on the Ghanaian player and started hobbling causing the referee to believe Harrison Afful has taken him out.
Afful was then shown a red card with his Columbus Crew team playing the last 16 minutes plus additional time with ten men.
The decision from the Independent Review Panel however means Harrison Afful will not serve the one-game suspension and pay the fine.
The appeal was unanimously upheld and the Ghanaian defender will play in Saturday’s game against Orlando at the Mapfre Stadium.
