The Ghanaian has been linked with a move to the English Premier League as Chelsea’s new boss Conte is reported to be keen on making Asamoah one of his top signings at the Stamford Bridge club.

Antonio Conte signed Kwadwo Asamoah from Udinese during his time at Juventus.

The player had however failed to emulate the good form he showed during his early days at Juventus having struggled with injuries in the past year.

Chelsea have also not settled for a permanent left back in recent years since Ashley Cole left the club. Felipe Luis had a short stay with Ghana international Abdul Baba Rahman who joined from Augsburg last season having an inconsistent run of form.

Cesar Azpilicueta has had to fill in the role of a left-back for Chelsea in most games.
