Asiedu Nketia, four others sued; dismissed accountant demands GH¢175,000

Mr Mokono Wilson argued that that the party breached the employment agreement which mandates the party to give dismissed workers three months notice or payments in lieu.

Mathias Mokono Wilson is demanding an amount of GH¢175,150.50 in damages and loss.

In a writ dated February 10, 2016, he said his monthly salary was GHc 3,574.50.

The former accountant who has worked with the NDC over twenty years and was dismissed by the party prays the court to order the NDC to pay him his annual leave.

It would be recalled that two officers at the National Headquarters of the NDC who sold Presidential nomination forms to President John Mahama’s contender, George Boateng in the party’s Presidential primary in September 2015, were sacked.

The two, were the accountant who issued the receipt for the nomination forms and the administrator who handed over the forms to Mr George Boateng.

It is only the General Secretary who is mandated to endorse and issue presidential nomination forms.

It was, therefore, unacceptable for the accountant and the  administrative officer to facilitate the process for the polling station youth organiser of the party at Oyarifa in Accra,  Mr George Boateng, to pick up the forms.
