Mac Manu was leading a team of election observers from the Democratic Union of Africa into Kenya, just three days before a general election.
The former campaign chairman of the New Patriotic Party is the Honorary Chairman of the Democratic Union of Africa, an umbrella body of centre- right parties in Africa which includes some opposition parties in Kenya.
The deportation comes just two days after President Nana Akufo-Addo appointed a new ambassador to Kenya.
On Saturday, the AFP reported that two foreign nationals working on the opposition's poll campaign are being deported from Kenya, the opposition and the US embassy said Saturday.

In a tweet the US embassy in Nairobi said an American and a Canadian had been detained Friday. "They're safe & departing Kenya," it added.
James Orengo, a senior official in the National Super Alliance (NASA) opposition coalition, named the two as John Aristotle Phillips, an American, and Andreas Katsouris, a Canadian.
Phillips is chief executive officer of Aristotle Inc, a Washington-based data mining firm and political consultancy, while Katsouris is a senior vice president in the company.
Aristotle spokeswoman Brandi Travis confirmed the deportation.
"We have for years worked on pro-democracy campaigns. They were helping NASA's candidate," Raila Odinga, Travis said.

Orengo described the two men as "friends from Canada and the United States".
