Michael Essien nearly gave a violent opponent some severe beating after the former Chelsea player was violently targeted by an opponent during a friendly match.
The ex-Chelsea midfielder’s temper was on display for Indonesian fans after a confrontation with an opponent.
The incident took place 18 minutes from the end, when United player Yabes Roni intentionally kicked a ball to hit Essien.
The Ghanaian midfielder reacted angrily with what he perceived as a deliberate act and began chasing after Roni.
Essien was eventually calmed by his players and the match officials. What made it even funnier was that Roni ran away from Essien and looked genuinely terrified.
Roni was sent off but Essien’s side eventually fell to a defeat.
