Vincent Sowah Odotei, chairman of the Strategic Committee of Hearts of Oak has stated that Sergio Daniel Traguil is a better coach than Kenichi Yatsuhashi due to his previous experience on the African continent.
Hearts of Oak parted ways with the Japanese-American trainer by mutual consent, following the coach’s decision to go on a 25-leave to pursue further coaching course abroad.
Most of the Hearts of Oak fans are not happy with the decision, but Sowah Odotei insists parting ways with Kenichi was the right thing, because what Daniel Traguil brings is far better.
“As we speak what we got from Kenichi (Yatsushashi), what he (Sergio) has is far better. At least he has coached in Nigeria with Kaduna United and currently Argo football club so he has some little relevant Africa football experience,” he told Sikka FM.
“We have negotiated everything and we intend to offer him one and half seasons or two football seasons contract.
“But let me add that he is not here to take Kenichi’s job. It is not true that he is here to replace him.”
Kenichi Yatsuhashi played 15 league games won 7, drew 4 and lost 3 to guide the team to a 4 place finish, after the first half of the Ghana Premier League.
