Some supporters of embattled preacher, Bishop Daniel Obinim on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, assaulted some passengers on the Ring Road in Accra while they were protesting for their founder to be released from police custody.

The embattled pastor who spent Tuesday night in the cells of the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service at the headquarters of the law enforcement agency in Accra was transferred to the Nima Police Station on Wednesday morning.

Hundreds of his church members subsequently thronged the police station to offer intercessory prayers for their founder.

In their anger, many of them began attacking some passengers on the Ring road where the police station is located.
