15 Egyptian doctors in Ghana to support healthcare

The doctors arrived in Ghana on Saturday, September 5, 2015 on the request of the Ministry of Health and will start work in two weeks.

Fifteen doctors have been dispatched to Ghana by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership Development of the Arab Republic of Egypt to support health care delivery.

The team is made up of: three Surgical Consultants, two Dentists, a Dentist Specialist, Orthopedist, Urologist, Pulmonologist, gynaecologist, two Internal Medicine Consultants, Microbiologist and a Cardiologist.

A release by the Ministry of Health said the doctors will be complementing the efforts of their Ghanaian counterparts and will be distributed across the country to provide the needed care to Ghanaians.This support by the Arab Republic of Egypt is strengthening the already existing bilateral relation between Ghana and Egypt.
