“Afia Schwarzenegger should be happy she's alive” - Abrokwah's lawyer

Maurice Ampaw told Pulse.com.gh that the incident would have been gruesome if it were a different man.

Maurice Ampaw, who is the counsel for the accused, Lawrence Abrokwa, told Pulse.com.gh that the incident would have been gruesome if it were a different man.

“Afia Schwarzenegger should be very happy and thank her stars that she is alive. Some men would have ended her life and that of the cheating guy. That irresponsible guy went to someone’s matrimonial home to have an affair with the wife,” he told Pulse.con.gh

He continued, “You must be responsible enough not to go to someone’s matrimonial home to have an affair with his wife. It’s an irresponsible and dangerous behaviour, and I think he should thank his stars for his life and that of Afia. Some men would have committed murder.”

When catechized if the marriage will continue after court, he said: “We will proceed for dissolution – we can’t continue.”

Lawyer Ampaw added that the issue cannot be taken out of court settlement because the issue is beyond family resolution. “We don’t need her family. This goes beyond family. Both families cannot resolve the issue,” he added.
