Amakye Dede who spoke to Peace FM from his sick bed at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital said he has lost a friend and a manager whose replacement will be difficult.

“I have lost my best friend, my brother and my manager, Isaac and it will be very difficult to get a replacement for Isaac. It will be very difficult to get a friend or a manager like Isaac but God knows best,” he said.

Amakye Dede however thanked God for his life and expressed appreciation to the general public for their prayers.

“I thank God and I wish all Ghanaians a happy new year. It’s true that New Year didn’t begin well for me but God said in all things we should give thanks and praises to Him. First of all, I want to thank all Ghanaians that after the accident involving myself, my bodyguard and my manager, through which my manager lost his life, I am still at the Korle-Bu Hospital but I have heard all their prayers and I am very grateful. May God bless all of you,” he stated.

Amakye Dede’s Toyota Corolla car was rammed into by a Sprinter bus from Kumasi with him inside it, as he was waiting to perform at a show at the Paradise Spot, a few meters away from the popular Linda Dor Restaurant.

The sad incident which occurred on New Year Day led to the death of Isaac Yeboah. Amakye Dede’s bodyguard was also injured. Both are responding to treatment at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and 37 Military Hospital respectively.
