Former Black Stars captain, Stephen Appiah has revealed that his wife has been supportive throughout his football career. Stephen Appiah, 34, added his wife plays a major role in all his decision making.
The 34-year-old retiring footballer told Accra-based TV station that he never took any decision concerning his career without consulting his wife.

Ghana's midfielder, Appiah added, “I told the team manager of Juventus that I will sign for them but they should leave me to talk to my wife because you have to take your wife where she will love and you need to think about the kids"."So I went back home, that time my wife was in Ghana so I called her on the phone and we talked. She said ‘everywhere you go, we will follow you but take a good decision", he added.“She has, of course, been supportive all this years; 20 years knowing her and we are still going strong,” he stated.Stephen Appiah will play a testimonial match on Saturday June 27, 2015 to officially end his football career.
