A 16-year-old student of Creative Achievement Academy, Vineland, New Jersey, United States, was arrested for biting his teacher, authorities say.
gathered that the unnamed student was at after-school detention when the attack occurred.
Police say the school's management had reported a case of aggravated assault after the Thursday March 26 incident.
"The juvenile became irate because he did not want to stay for detention," police said.

"He attempted to walk out of the room, then pushed and bit the teacher on his arm."
He was subsequently arrested and later released to a family friend.
The teacher had to be treated by the school nurse.
