Boniface arrested and charged for defiling a dog while wearing condoms

Authorities in Kenya have reported charged a resident of Mbondoni village in Isinga location, Kangundo sub-County on Thursday after his arrest the previous day for killing an animal and committing an unnatural act with a dog.

Police officers arrested 35-year-old Boniface Mutuku Munyao at his house after the public raised alarm.

Kenyan local media reports suggest that the young man returned home from an unknown place on Monday with the German shepherd dog.

Boniface has been accused of holding the dog captive in his house for several days, engaging in sexual activity with it before killing it.

“He was found having sex with the dog after some neighbours noticed a foul smell since the homestead which belongs to his grandmother is abandoned,” Area chief, Bethwel King’ele said.

“In his confession, the man said he ‘defiled’ the dog for several days and later strangled the animal to death using a rope,” he added.

King’ele condemned the alleged act, rubbishing claims that the suspect was mentally unstable.

“That is a very shameful and ungodly act which we cannot tolerate in society. Those claiming the man is of unsound mind should also tell us why he decided to use condoms on the dog,” he said.

Meanwhile, some residents have alleged that before his arrest, Boniface was caught about two months ago engaging in a similar act with a neighbour’s sheep.

He denied the charges levelled against him when he appeared before a Kagundo court and was released on a Sh100,000 bond and a surety of the same amount.

The case has been adjourned to January 22 when the suspect is expected to reappear in court.
