A magistrate’s court in Nigeria’s Osun state has remanded a married man into prison custody pending his sentencing on August 3 after he pleaded guilty to assaulting his girlfriend for visiting his house unannounced.
Reports say Olusola Simeon grew furious upon seeing Fadahunsi Alaba who he had been dating for the past six years, enter his house at Agowande, Osogbo without his prior consent.
Fadahunsi Alaba was taken aback to meet Olusola Simeon’s wife and children of whom he had never made any mention of to her.
She had reportedly gone to her lover’s home at about 9:15pm on July 2, 2018 with some of her belongings, ostensibly to spend some time with him.
But realising the consequences of the incognito visit, Olusola Simeon pounced on Fadahunsi Alaba and battered her mercilessly, and inflicted serious injuries on her.

She reported her ordeal to the police, leading to the arrest and prosecution of Olusola Simeon.
When he appeared before the court, the convict pleaded guilty to the charges leveled against him, thus he was convicted.
He is currently in prison custody until August 3 when the court presided over by Awodele Adedoyin is expected to pronounce his sentence.
