According to a report by 9to5Mac, the 6s and 6s Plus are already sold out on Apple’s official website, the place where the devices can be pre-ordered.

September 29 is listed as the earliest possible delivery date for anyone making a reservation. All of this means that consumers were either less frantic about upgrading to the new phones this year, or Apple was able to build a larger inventory than the one it had at the iPhone 6 launch thereby able to cater to a larger crowd.
Apple had earlier launched the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus on September 9 at an event that included the launch of a host of other devices, most popular of which is the iPad Pro.
