Activated Charcoal
Activated charcoal works by trapping toxins and chemicals in its millions of tiny pores.
Mix a teaspoon of activated charcoal powder with enough water to make a paste. Place some of the paste on a small piece of gauze, put the gauze on the sore area and bite down so that the paste surrounds your tooth. Leave it on for up to 5 minutes, then remove the gauze and excess paste and rinse your mouth with water. You can use this remedy 3 or 4 times a day, as needed.
Saltwater
Salt water is the simplest and temporal home remedies for a toothache. Mix half tablespoon of salt in a glass of warm water. Stir the mixture continuously.
Rinse your mouth with the solution at frequent intervals.The salt help draws out some of the fluids that are causing the swelling and pain.
Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Its acidic property helps to kill the bacteria causing toothache. Soak cotton wool in vinegar and put on the affected tooth.
Alternatively, you can mix two teaspoons of baking soda with two tablespoons of vinegar and apply it directly to the aching tooth. Rinse your mouth to get rid of the taste.
Garlic
Garlic is anti-bacterial. Crush a clove of garlic and hold it inside your cheek against the tooth that hurts. You can also crush a clove with sea salt to make a paste and apply that to your painful tooth.
Lime
The citric acid in limes reduces inflammation and destroys bacteria that cause a toothache. The vitamin C in limes helps the immune system fight off bacteria and infection. Apply a slice of lime directly to your problem tooth and bite to release juice.
Onion
Onions have antiseptic and anti-microbial properties that relieve the pain of a toothache. Chew a piece of fresh onion for few minutes or hold it inside the mouth and bite to release juice.

Black Pepper
Pepper contains anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which relieve the pain of a toothache. Mix black pepper with water to make a paste and apply it to the problem tooth and hold for few minutes.
Baking Soda
Moisten cotton swab in water. Apply baking soda to a cotton ball and hold it against your problem tooth, or mix 1 tablespoon baking soda into a glass of Luke warm water and swish in your mouth.
