Men, please stop frying your ‘balls’ with laptops!

According to recent studies, placing your laptop on your lap is doing your testicles more harm than good.

Laptop and male genitalia

Scrotal hyperthermia is used to describe the heat-related effects of a laptop on men’s balls. Basically consistently using your laptop on your lap will fry your balls.

As we all know the testicles are situated in the scrotum because the twin organs need to be slightly cooler than the rest of the body to work efficiently. A warmer scrotum means its stuffing will have a harder time producing the sperms.

This means the quality of your sperms will be affected. Placing a laptop directly on your lap is cooking your balls, my dear men.

Dr Yefim Sheynkin, a urologist at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, says no studies have actually tested how laptops affect men’s fertility. But earlier research has revealed that warming the scrotum more than one degree Celsius (1.8 degrees Fahrenheit) is enough to damage sperm.

Any solutions? You may try sitting with your laps open wide when you place a laptop on your lap. Or use a laptop pad between your upper thighs and laptop. or better still pack a heavy cloth between the laptop pad and your lap.

Please take our advice and your future children will thank you for your perseverance.
