French Vanilla Toast

Hello fellow food lovers! I should warn you- I am a bread aficionado, so this is just the beginning of many bread-related recipes!

I had been hearing “French toast” for a while so I decided to give it a try. Here is your usual bread breakfast but with a delicious twist. Bid plain bread goodbye as this recipe will transport you to the land of no return.

Ingredients

- 3 eggs, beaten

- 1⁄2 cup evaporated milk

- 1⁄4 cup sugar

- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 8 slices of bread

Preparation

1. Add the eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla to a mixing bowl and mix.

2. Pour the mixture into a pan for easier dipping.

3. Dip bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.

4. Place coated bread in a well-oiled heated skillet; cook until golden on each side.

5. Serve.

Tip: Cover with sweet toppings such as jam, maple syrup, honey or butter.
