Shatta Wale explains why he walked off stage at Luv FM’s Skuuls Reunion

I’m a professional artist, I came and fulfilled my part of the deal then I left. I didn’t get annoyed and leave all of a sudden as it was reported,” Shatta Wale explained.

Shatta Wale says he is investing wisely

Ghanaian, dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has said he walked off stage during Luv FM’s Old Skuul Reunion in Kumasi last Saturday because of power fluctuation.

According to the artiste who spoke on Pluzz FM, his performance was marred by the situation on two occasions.

“I always say we are artists who are working professionally. I have not only worked in Ghana but around the world. I have seen how people work. So if you call Shatta Wale for a show, and you don’t check your sound system, security and machines go off, you blame me for it, and I see my brand is at stake, I will just walk away from it. I wasn’t annoyed. I was on stage when the lights went off, and I sat on the stage stairs for over ten minutes waiting for the lights to come on. The fans were still cheering on. You know I love my fans, so I was patiently waiting” he said.

“The lights came on, I got the mic, started singing my next track and the light went off again. Nobody bothered, and I asked one guy ‘why are you guys doing that?’and he said ‘they don’t know’. I’m a professional artist, I came and fulfilled my part of the deal then I left. I didn’t get annoyed and leave all of a sudden as it was reported,” Shatta Wale explained.
