According to various media reports, Intel has introduced the 6th Generation of its Intel Core processor family, the company's best ever processor. The company says its 6th Generation Intel Core processor delivers enhanced performance at the lowest power levels with support for the broadest range of device designs – from the ultra-mobile computer sticks, to 2 in 1s and huge high-definition All-in-One desktops, to new mobile workstations.

Codenamed Skylake, the 6th Gen processors will deliver up to two and a half times better performance, triple battery life, and graphics that are 30 times better than the current standard, coupled with seamless gaming and video experiences.
They are also smaller, have faster wake up time, and battery life that lasts better than the current chips.
According to Kirk Skaugen, Senior Vice President at Intel and General Manager of the Client Computing Group, "6th Gen Intel Core processors deliver some of the most significant advancements in computing that we have ever seen.

The 6th Gen range will now include brand levels Intel Core m3, m5 and m7 processors with the Intel Computer Stick lineup expanding to include a version powered by the 6th Gen Intel Core M processor.
