The show is made by the same director as Netlfix's Last Chance U, Greg Whiteley, and it follows one of America's top cheerleading team as they get ready to compete at the National Cheerleaders Association national competition in Daytona, Florida. Is Netflix's 'Cheer' Coming Back For Season 2?

Unfortunately, that news is currently "off the mat." There's no official word from Netflix whether season two is happening or not (womp womp). However, according to Esquire, if there is going to be a second round of Cheer, expect Netflix to make the big announcement sometime around the beginning of February.

That said, they're kind of already dropping hints. The streaming service has been keeping tabs on Navarro's cheer members. Just yesterday, they tweeted about cheerleader Lexi, who's officially back on the Navarro College team after getting in trouble with campus police at the end of the first season.

As for cheer-lebrity Gabi Butler , her Instagram bio currently reads, "TopGun00 19-20," which likely means she's on a team at TopGun Cheer and Dance .

Morgan Simianer , meanwhile, appears to be going toor is at least consideringattending and cheering at Texas Tech, per her Instagram.

And, last but certainly not least, La'Darius Marshall appears to have left the cheer world for that of the Instagram Influencer. His bio currently says, "Cheerleader turned Public Figure," so it's doubtful he'll be returning to the mat at the moment.
