ISIS shows support, claims Nigerian terrorists have recaptured Gamboru

A Twitter handle linked with ISIS tweeted in support of Boko Haram yesterday, March 14, announcing that the Nigerian group had reclaimed Gamboru in Borno State from troops deployed there.

According to reports, the newly formed partnership between the Islamic State terrorist group (ISIS) and Boko Haram might already be underway.

“ISIS-linked accounts tweeting about #BokoHaram reclaiming Gamboru  from Chad/Mercenary forces. Alliance very much in full swing,” Cummings wrote.

Nigerian authorities have however not verified the report.

Boko Haram pledged its allegiance to ISIS on Saturday, March 7, and the Middle-Eastern group announced its acceptance of the pledge on Friday, 13.
