Naa Torshie Addo to head District Assembly Common Fund

Naa Torshie Addo is set to be vetted for the position of the as administrator of the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF)

A former Member of Parliament for Tema West Constituency Irene Naa Torshie Addo has been nominated as administrator of the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).

Her nomination was announced by the Speaker of Parliament Prof. Mike Oquaye in the House Tuesday.

Naa Torshie will be vetted alongside the newly appointed Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo and GetFund administrator.

Torshie Addo was born in Osu, Accra, on 30 September 1970. She is a lawyer by profession and earned an LLM (Gender and Development Studies) from the University of Warwick in 1999.

She lost her bid to return to Parliament on the ticket of the ruling New Patriotic Party in a 2015 primaries to Carlos Ahenkorah. She is married with two daughters.
