Political parties participating in the 2016 general elections will have the final Voters Register and a list of all polling stations by the end of next week.
This was revealed by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission (EC) Charlotte Osei. She mentioned this when she met members of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs in the Ashanti Region.
Mrs Charlotte Osei said the list of the polling stations would be ready by Friday (October 28).

She said due to some technical challenges being encountered by the EC in preparation for the December polls the Voters’ Register would be ready next week.

The Register contains about 15,700,000 voters, including 29,000 newly registered voters who will be taking part in this year’s elections.
She further indicated that the list would also be made available on the EC’s website and also be made available to security agencies to ensure a transparent election in December.
