An Accra Fast Track High Court has thrown out an application filed by six supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) seeking an injunction on the Korle Klottey constituency parliamentary primary of the party.

The plaintiffs, Juliana Briandt, George Attor Williams, Mary Crentsil, Ebenezer Acquah, Michael Nana Nkansa and Edward Quansah wanted a declaration that Nii Noi Nortey acted fraudulently when he declared and submitted to the NPP that he held a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Political Science degree awarded by the University of Ghana.
The six were also seeking the court to declare Nii Noi Nortey unfit to contest the parliamentary primaries because they claim he presented a fake certificate to the vetting committee of the party.
But the presiding judge, Justice Ofori Attah, however, dismissed the application on Thursday.

It would be recalled that Philip Addison, a parliamentary aspirant for the constituency, is pushing for the disqualification his main contender, Nii Noi Nortey.
