The seemingly unending internal wrangling in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has led to some Ghanaians flooding social media platforms with messages aimed at chastising the party and its executives.

The party’s General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong has stated that he has been side-lined from the activities of the NPP flag bearer, Nana Akufo Addo – a situation he said seems to be a ploy to exclude him from everything Nana Addo does in the build up to the 2016 elections.

Nana Akufo Addo while on his “Rise and Build Tour” in the Eastern Region on Monday issued a caution to all members of the party to desist from discussing internal matters on the media landscape, stating that the behaviour will affect the fortunes of the party in the run-up to the 2016 elections.

The internal bickering in the NPP has lingered on for years despite numerous calls from ranks and file of the party to unite and focus on capturing power.

The situation, many have said, is as a result of the Alan-Nana Addo factions in the party.
