For Rev. Bempah, the special church offering has exposed Pastor Otabil who he accused of calling Prophets in Ghana as fake.
âI respect Mensa Otabil a lot but I wonât have him call all prophets fake, there may be some fake prophets but the same way there are fake bible teachers too, he canât put us all into one bracket,â he said.
âI wouldnât have said anything if Mensa Otabil had said some prophets are fake but putting all of us in the same bracket, I wonât allow that.
âMensa Otabil has a branch of his church headed by prophet Annor, so is Mensa Otabil saying Christians in that church are foolish?"
On the special church offering, he said: âUnless Mensa Otabil tells me that he takes money collected in his church to heaven, we all use the monies collected in the church for Godâs work, I am asking him to apologise to Ghanaian Christians and prophets by Monday, if not he will have me to contend with."
Pastor Otabil has defended the offering, saying belief goes beyond logic.

"Believe goes beyond logic. Logic would tell you that if you have a GHC1000 in your account then you can expend a GHC1000 because that is logical. Believe would tell you that if you have five loads of bread, you donât feed five people. Believe would tell you that if you have five loaves of bread, you can feed 5,000. Thatâs not logical," he said speaking the mammoth congregation at Greater Works 2017.
He urged the congregants to believe what the scripture commands and receive their blessings thereof.
"Youâre going to believe that all things are possible and youâre going to believe according to receive what has been made available to you by Christ Jesus," he admonished the church.MORE
