We are just halfway through the year 2017 but Shatta Wale has already given his competitors a gap they will hardly close by the end of the year.

The most influential and controversial Afro-Dancehall/Hiplife artiste, record producer and entrepreneur is currently in a comfortable lead with numerous bangers banging across the length and breadth of the country.

He started the year on a good note, dropping a nationwide hit “Ayoo” and followed with “Taking Over” before introducing Ghana’s Afro-Dancehall new favourite chaps, The Militants (made up of Addi Self, Captan, & Joint 77).

Even though he’s currently touring the United States, his records are banging behind him and it’s appropriate we acknowledge his efforts as the year gets to another phase.
