Ashanti Gold head coach has joined Scottish football heavyweights Celtic on an educational trip.
The former Black Stars skipper has now become astute figure in the Ghanaian coaching scene and has advanced to upgrade himself as the 2016/2017 season of the Ghana Premier League ended close to a month ago.
Charles Akonnor is currently touring European clubs in a self-funded knowledge sharing trip to equi himself with the current trend of the game.

The former VFL Wolfsburg player has had stints with his former club in Germany in this nature and has met the coach of the Scottish outfit Brendan Rodgers.
He will be in Scotland for a short period before moving to England to undergo a similar exercise with Tottenham Hotspurs.
Akunnor has been head coach of various clubs in Ghana like Sekondi Eleven Wise, Accra Hearts of Oak and Dreams FC.
Charles Akonnor rescued the club he played for Ashanti Gold from relegation in the 2016/2017 Ghana Premier League.
