Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde reportedly declared a two-day holiday for players who didn’t go for international duties, but fringe players of the team, including the 31-year-old, were excepted.
German Newspaper Bild reported that Kevin-Prince Boateng did not show up for training as required at Cuidad Deportiva, the training grounds of Barcelona FC last Thursday.

Kevin-Prince Boateng hasn’t been recalled into the Black Stars since suffering an indefinite suspension from the team during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, so he wasn’t part of the Ghana team that played against both Kenya and Mauritania on Saturday and Tuesday, respectively.
Boateng joined Barcelona from Sassuolo in January, but he is yet to find his feet in the Catalan capital, having enjoyed limited playing time and failed to register his name on the score sheet.
