Maxwell Konadu names Abdul Hadze as assistant Kotoko coach

Newly appointed coach of Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu has named Abdul Hadze as his 1st assistant coach.

Hadze is understood to be a holder of CAF License A, which even qualifies him to coach a team in the Ghana Premier League.

The Black Stars B coach signed a 2-year deal with Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Monday in Kumasi, after several years of interest from the Porcupine Warriors.

Maxwell Konadu has replaced expatriate coach Kjeti Zachariassen following his dismissal as coach of the club for a disappointing campaign in the CAF inter-club competitions.

The Kumasi giants during the latter part of Zachariasen’s tenure as coach of the club named Johnson Smith as his assistant.

Smith was maintained by Asante Kotoko as an assistant coach, so the arrival of Hadze suggests that the former coach of Karela FC will serve as the 2nd assistant coach of the club.

“For now I will be coming with only one person. I am not going to sack anybody. Abdulai Gazale will be the person I bring on board. We need a lot of people to do the work and we will need everyones support”, Maxwell Konadu told Happy FM.

Maxwell Konadu will be unveiled to the public on Wednesday at the team's training ground at Adako Jachie.
