France soccer team received a heros welcome in Paris on Monday after winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The players wasted no time in boarding a flight back this morning and when they landed they showed off the trophy to those gathered on the Champs-Elysees.
France who won their second World Cup after beating Croatia 4-2 in the final were greeted by tens of thousands of enthusiastic flag waving fans, some climbing street signs and traffic lights to catch a glimpse of the players who rode in on open-top buses along the streets of Paris.
Supporters have had to wait 20-years for this moment and took to the streets last night to celebrate long into the early hours.
They woke up to sore heads and memorable front pages today after their second World Cup win.
The country remained in party mood today with French publication L'Equipe calling their success "an eternal happiness".
