Avram Grant questions motives of Ugandan ‘spy’ coach
Both Uganda and Ghana are currently in the UAE in preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
Avram Grant’s men are also placed in the same group together with Egypt and Mali in group D.
Uganda coach Milutin Sredojevic was in attendance when Ghana played Uzbek side Bunyodkor in a friendly on Tuesday.
The Black Stars were 2-0 victors over the Asian side; however, their coach was unimpressed with his counterpart on the bench of the Cranes.
In a veiled dig to the Serbian, Grant sarcastically asked: "You claim to know everything about my team so why did you come to spy on us again?”
Milutin Sredojevic has seen his stock rise in recent years after guiding Uganda to their first Africa Cup of Nations appearance since 1970.
Last year the Serbian openly talked up the probability of the taking over the Ghana coaching role if the need arises and that might have irked Grant, who is under pressure from the Ghanaian public after a poor run of results lately.
