Cameroon coach Hugo Broos has expressed his delight over his side’s win over Ghana in the semi-finals duel on Thursday evening in Franceville.
The Indomitable Lions made it to the final of the ongoing African Cup of Nations, after recording a 2-0 win over the Black Stars.
It was goalless in the first half as both sides held their guns very well, but Cameroon tamed Ghana with 19 minutes to full time.
Through poor defending on the part of the Black Stars, Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui, struck the first goal, late in the game Christian Bassogog made it two for Broos’ side.

“I am really happy with the turn of events because not many people believed in my young team but as we qualify for the final I feel so much relief that the same players I called up have lived up to the billing,” Broos said
"The boys played a proactive game with a lot of purpose and you could see even after scoring the first goal they were still angry to get more and it worked perfectly.
"We now take a rest as we prepare for our final against Egypt on Sunday. I now believe we can go all the way and lift the trophy," he concluded.
Cameroon will play Egypt in the finals (this Sunday), in what will be a repeat of the 2008 finals where the Pharaohs pipped the Indomitable Lions to win the coveted trophy.
