Ghana player Andre Ayew says Cameroon deserved to win their AFCON semi final clash in Franceville.
The Black Stars fell 2-0 to a determined Cameroon side in a hard fought game at the Stade Renovation de Franceville on Thursday.
Defender Ngadeu finished past Razak Braimah after an error from John boye's from a free kick while winger Christian Bassogog finished off a whirlwind counter attack to seal a first final appearance for the Indomitable lions since they lost to Egypt in 2008.
Speaking to the press after the game,a disappointed Ayew, who captained the Black Stars said his team failed to execute on their game plan.
“W are very disappointed because we did not play our game.We did not do what we know how to do best.
"We have to be honest Cameroon deserve their victory today. We just need to shut up,go home and work hard for next two years.”
Ghana made a seventh straight AFCON finals but will have to wait another two years to annex a fifth AFCON title.
