Asamoah Gyan has hit out at former Hearts of Oak player, Amankwa Mireku, saying he does not qualify to criticise him.
Following the disappointing performance of the Black Stars in Gabon, Mireku is alleged to have said Gyan was not fit and lacked the stamina for the tournament.
But Gyan in response said; "“Amankwa Mireku is nowhere near my level in football. I expect legends to talk about me not him." Gyan said in an interview to Kumasi-based Angel FM.
Ghana finished fourth in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), which was a major setback after the nation had waited for 35 years without a continental trophy.

Amakwa Mireku also suggested that Andre Ayew should be made the captain of the Black Stars instead of Gyan.
The 31-year-old who scored a goal to become Ghana's all-time topscorer in the AFCON was unhappy by the comments of the Hearts player.
