Agradaa apologises to Empress Gifty for false statements
Controversial styled Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Nana Agradaa, has officially retracted and disowned all allegations she previously levelled against gospel musician Empress Gifty Oppong Adorye, admitting that the claims were baseless.
In a statement released by her legal representatives, Agyaa Asamani Law Consult on December 4, 2025, the firm explained that the controversial remarks Nana Agradaa made on social media in May 2025 were made “in the spur of the moment” and have now been completely withdrawn.
According to lawyer Richard Asare Baffour, the accusations directed at Empress Gifty were false, lacked evidence, and should be disregarded entirely.
“It is now stated unequivocally that the allegations made by our client as contained in the impugned publications were false and completely without merit. Consequently, our client retracts every statement made therein,” the statement read.
Nana Agradaa has also rendered an unqualified and sincere apology, acknowledging that her comments negatively affected the gospel artiste’s reputation, emotional well-being, and professional image. The apology further extends to Empress Gifty’s family, friends, and industry colleagues.
Her lawyers added that the retraction and apology are meant to restore calm and set the public record straight after months of tension between the two parties.
Agradaa who is currently serving a 15 year jail term for defrauding by false pretense and charlatanic advertisement, was sued by Ghanaian gospel musician Empress Gifty Adorye.
Empress filed a defamation lawsuit at the Tema High Court against controversial self-styled evangelist, Patricia Asiedua, in May this year. The gospel musician had asked a court for damages of GH¢20,000,000 against Nana Agradaa.
