KKD Granted Bail On Humanitarian Grounds

Embattled ace broadcaster, Kwesi Kyei Darkwa popularly known as KKD has been granted bail by an Accra Human Rights court. He was granted bail on humanitarian grounds, citing his health as one of the reasons.

The media personality, who has been in the Airport City Police custody for over three weeks his alleged rape was granted bail of sum GHC20,000  with two sureties by Justice Kofi Essel Mensah who sat on the case.

KKD who has been charged with rape has denied it arguing he had “consensual sex” with the alleged victim.

He and his lawyers further resorted to the Human rights courts to seek for bail after the Magistrate court denied him same.

Meanwhile, the 19-year-old girl who accused KKD of rape has withdrawn the charges.
